This is the back of 121 Mathewson Street, the former Rialto Theatre, overlooking a parking lot.
Loring Studios was registered as a photography studio on Main Street in Pawtucket in 1972 and filed an annual report in 1983. No other information has been found, though it is likely that a photography studio had more than one location.
In a 2015 opinion piece titled Downtown with Mom at Christmas and penned by Ed Iannuccilli for the Providence Journal, he mentions “City Hall Hardware Store where there was a toy department.” We are guessing that he was speaking of his childhood in the 1950s–1960s, shopping in Downtown Providence.
